No—we provide removal services and recycling, but we are not a scrap yard and do not pay for materials. If you have a large quantity of high-value metal (like clean copper), you may get more value taking it to a scrap yard yourself. We’re here for the convenience of pickup and removal.
How much does scrap metal removal cost in Portland?
Scrap metal removal pricing is based on volume at $50 per cubic yard with a $75 minimum. A small load of appliances or items runs $75-$150, a garage cleanout is $150-$350, and larger job site loads are $350+. Heavy metal loads may cost more due to weight.
Do you take cars or large auto parts?
We can take certain auto scrap like bumpers, fenders, hoods, doors, rims, and drained engine parts—but we do not haul entire vehicles. For whole car removal, contact a local auto salvage company.
Can you take hazardous materials with scrap metal?
No—we cannot accept propane tanks, fuel containers with residue, asbestos-containing materials, or any hazardous substances. These require specialized disposal through proper channels. If you’re unsure about an item, ask us and we’ll help you find the right solution.
What happens to the metal after pickup?
We sort scrap metal by type and deliver it to local recycling facilities. There, metals are processed, melted down, and reused in new products. Recycling metal conserves natural resources and uses significantly less energy than producing new metal from ore.
